This is a professional exam and as such bears a certain degree of difficulty. It consists of 14 different chapters with extracts from different parts of legislation and EU Directives. The recommended approach is to break your study to smaller parts. We therefore developed Chapter-specific Mock tests that should be attempted every time you finish studying this part. Every time you attempt a test you will see a different set of questions. You will need to revisit the theoretical part of the syllabus and identify your weaknesses/mistakes. Several iterations will make you confident to pass each part. At the end of your study, you are recommended to attempt 3 different set of mock tests:
1. Advanced Certificate Mock test - this is a replication of the actual exam with 70 questions to be answered within a 90 minute timeframe. It consists of questions coming from the 14 chapters examined. The question bank includes 1,000 questions that are randomly selected according to the weighting set. At the end of your attempt, you will receive a report showing specifically at which chapters you are doing well and at which chapters you need improvement. This test difficulty is very similar to the actual examination.
2. Advanced Certificate SMALL Mock test - this is a quick mock exam with 28 questions, 2 out of each chapter, to be answered within a 30 minute timeframe. The question bank is the same as before and includes 1,000 questions that are randomly selected according to the weighting set. At the end of your attempt, you will receive a report showing specifically at which chapters you are doing well and at which chapters you need improvement. This test difficulty is very similar to the actual examination. This is a quick testing tool to be used while you are on a break during the days close to your exam.
3. NEW Exam points Advanced Exam - this is the most difficult of the three mock exams, since it only consists of only exam level questions and tests candidates on specific difficult points examined in syllabus. High scores in this mock gives you certainty on your ability to pass.

For CySEC Advanced Examinations, the passing rate is not very high. As a teacher, I recommend that mock tests should be used in combination with theoretical study. If you only study without mock tests or if you only attempt tests and not study theory limits your probabilities of passing. At the same time, use of both techniques (mock tests and theory) gives you an advantage and confidence during the exam.

You may visit CySEC official website here. CySEC operates a registration section where each candidate may choose an available date and pay for the participation. An email shall follow a few days later with specific date, time and place of the exam session assigned along with a unique candidate number. This email should be kept until the examination day.
